1. Client-Side Data Isolation
Anubis PDF is built on client-side privacy architecture. When you compress, merge, edit, split, OCR, or sign a PDF on our website, your files are processed directly in your device's memory via WebAssembly and JavaScript. No document content or metadata is ever transmitted to, stored on, or analyzed by our servers.
2. Cookies & Local Storage
We use local storage only to save your interface preferences (such as light or dark theme).
3. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies (Google AdSense)
We display ads through third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
4. Optional Email Form
After two free files, some tools may invite you to enter your email address to continue without limits. This is optional: you can close the prompt and keep using the core tools.
If you submit your email, we store only that address — never your documents — and use it to unlock extra free uses and occasionally to send product updates.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); you may withdraw it at any time.
- Processors: the address is stored in Cloudflare KV and emails are delivered through Resend. Both act only as data processors.
- Retention: we keep the address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Your rights: request access, correction or deletion at any time at support@anubispdf.com. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
5. Compliance with GDPR & CCPA
We never store, view, or retain the content of your documents. The only personal data we may hold is an email address you voluntarily submit (section 4). Anubis PDF therefore meets the requirements of global privacy frameworks including the GDPR and the CCPA.
